The Comedy Conservatory - The Premier Improv Training Center in the Gulf South
 |
Former Second City instructor Yvonne Landry has 17 years of professional comedy experience. Her background includes a BFA in Performing Arts from Columbia College in Chicago, and she is also a graduate of the Annoyance Theater and Improv Olympic (Chicago). Her acting experience is also extensive - she most recently appeared in The Reaping and Deja Vu and plays a supporting role in the Justin Timberlake film The Open Road. You won't find this much experience in a improv teacher anywhere else in the Gulf South. |
| Nick Lopez trained at Improv Olympic Chicago and completed the training courses at La Nuit in 2004. A jack-of-all trades, Nick compliments his experience with extra discipline in physical, movement-based improvisation and acting techniques. He has acted in cutting-edge plays all over the country, including Off-Broadway. He continues to find new uses for improv as a performer at Louisiana Playback Theater. This fall he'll be appearing as a recurring character on FOX's Prison Break. Yvonne and Nick have taught unique improv and character workshops to rave reviews in New Orleans, Los Angeles, Houston and Chicago. |

Comedy Conservatory classes are split into four Levels, ranging from Beginner to Advanced. Each level has a
cost of 300 dollars for 8 weeks. Most classes are on the weekend but we are expanding the schedule to include
weekdays as well. Classes are kept small so that each student gets plenty of personal attention and a lot of
support.
Upon completing our training program, you’ll have the skills and confidence to deliver outrageously funny, honest
and riveting improv, strengthen your acting skills, write laugh-a-minute stand-up routines and work effectively in
a team to bring a group of ideas into a unified goal and execute it with professionalism and positivism.
